The introduction and implementation of Lean and/or Six Sigma always includes the change management aspect. Indeed, for Lean Six Sigma to pay off successfully, embedding the methodology in new behaviors and habits is also necessary. People are quick to fall into old behaviors if the new desired behavior is not yet habitual. And then the implementation risks turning into one big waste. Unfortunately, we see this happening quite often in the Western world. It is then sometimes falsely claimed that Lean Six Sigma did not work, while neglecting to pay sufficient attention to management and employees during the transformation.

But how do you encourage people to let go of old habits and accept a new way of working? In this master class OBM Foundation Level training, participants learn the basics of a scientifically proven method for behavior change in organizations. This allows them to achieve breakthroughs based on desired behaviors. This evidence-based approach is known worldwide in science as Organizational Behavior Management (OBM). OBM is a method for bringing out the best in people, increasing job satisfaction and job performance. In terms of both philosophy and methodology, this practical science fits seamlessly with Lean and Lean Six Sigma.

This is a Masterclass intended for those curious about how to optimally and measurably influence behavior, not only to improve performance but also to maintain it. The training is suitable for anyone who would like to first get a brief introduction to the field of OBM in the basics and a piece of theoretical background. This Masterclass is an excellent introduction to applied behavior analysis and serves as a great first step toward the Postgraduate program to become a Certified OBM Practitioner at the Free University.
