Taking a Lean Black Belt training course at Symbol

  • In this Lean Black Belt training you will be trained to become an expert who can turn an improvement strategy into a concrete plan of action.
  • You will learn all about Lean, but also about change management, Kata coaching and intervision. This is how you will soon get your organization into a new way of working.
  • After the training – with your certificate of participation or internationally recognized LSSA certificate in your pocket – as a professional Lean Black Belt, you will set up processes more efficiently by applying the right Lean techniques. You do this together with a team and also across departments.

Lean Black Belts are experts in implementing improvement projects that focus on making processes better and more efficient. Green Belt projects often focus on one’s own department, while Black Belt projects often span across departments and are also more complex. Lean Black Belts are responsible for managing complex breakthrough projects and can be assigned part-time or full-time to Lean projects and improvement projects.

Because implementing different projects often involves a different way of working, in the Lean Black Belt training we pay a lot of attention to change management, including techniques in the field of coaching (Kata coaching) and intervision.

For whom

The Lean Black Belt training is widely attended by executives and project managers who want to implement Lean in their organization or have already started doing so. Participants in this training have a background in government, healthcare, services or industry. The education level for this course is HBO/HBO+.

Objective

In this Lean training, you will learn how, as a Black Belt, you can turn an improvement strategy into a concrete plan of action. Where is the organization now, where is the organization going and what needs to be done to achieve the goals. Selecting the right improvement projects and Lean tools are an important part of this. In addition to creating a thorough plan of action, you will learn how to engage employees in applying Lean and how to deal with resistance to change.
