This introductory training is designed for professionals who are new to using Minitab. This includes data analysts, quality officers, process managers and project managers. Prior knowledge of Minitab and statistics is not required.
Objective
Upon completion of this course, participants have a solid understanding of how to use Minitab and are able to independently apply tools and methods in Minitab to visualize data and statistically support conclusions about data. With this, participants are able to perform analysis on data in their work environment and quality improvement initiatives.

The course covers the following topics and tools: – Introduction and navigation in Minitab
– Using Minitab Assistant (choice tool)
– Entering and managing data
– Applying Descriptive Statistics (Averages; Median; Standard Deviation; etc)
– Performing Graphical Analyses (including Histogram; Boxplot; Pareto; Scatter; etc.)
– Support conclusions statistically with Hypothesis testing (t-tests; ANOVA, etc.)
– Establish relationships by performing Regression analysis
– Create SPC control charts (I-MR chart; Xbar-R chart; P- and U-chart)
– Perform Capability analyses (Cp; Cpk)
